I manage and look after Specialized Concept Store Birmingham. Me and my team look forward to welcoming you in store soon.
I'm currently riding a Specialized Sirrus Comp on my commute to work for two reasons, it's speedy and it looks cool. Although the new 2014 Stumpjumper Evo's are proving quite a temptation.
When i'm not in the store giving the team instructions I love spending time with my wife and my little man. We've just given him his Hotwalk and now we can't get him off it.
Deputy Manager/S-Works specialist
I'm Danny, the Birmingham store's deputy manager, resident S-Works and custom build specialist. I'm also a trained Body Geometry Fit technician and according to a couple of the guys have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Tour de France.
My main bike is a Tarmac S-Works SL4 custom build, fully built it's light as a feather. I also have a Crux for those Cyclocross days in the Autumn and a Carve pro for the trails.
If i'm not at work helping people pick their custom builds then you'll most likely find me DJ'ing in local clubs, and hanging out with me mates. If it's in the daytime then i'll be out on my bikes.
I'm Sue, a deputy manager here at Specialized Concept store Birmingham. Mother hen to all the lovely guys that work in our store, there's nothing I like more than meeting new customers and helping them pick out their new ride.
I'm all about road riding. As membership secretary for Halesowen Cycling Club I have to look good on the club rides, which is why I have a beautiful Specialized S-Works Amira called Amy and a Limited edition Ruby which I use as my training bike. I love them both dearly, they're my other children!
My first and most beloved interest is my fantastic family, I have two children Matt and Jess who both work in the Concept store so I can keep my eye on them! I also have a lovely husband and we love spending time holidaying with friends, whether it be camping in Shropshire or living it up abroad, as long as there's a glass of wine there i'm a happy girl!
Body Geometry Fit Technician/Sales Advisor
I'm Guy. Avid biker, Body Geometry fit technician and sales advisor at Specialized Birmingham. Bit of a Strava lover and sock hater.
My grandad taught me all about bikes when I was young and now it'd be safe to say I have a garage full. For MTB i've just ordered a Stumpy Expert Evo 29 and I cannot wait to get out on the trails on it. I've also got an On One hardtail and for road i've just built up a Venge Pro that is making my commute a whole lot more fun.
Biking, biking and more biking. If you could class Coffee as an interest then that would be up there too. My other interest is building and tinkering with bikes, so more bike related activities. Me and my friends also like to head off for the weekend and do a bit of riding, surfing, and whatever else we can find to get our adrenaline going.
Body Geometry Fit Technician/Sales advisor
I'm Jon, or little Jon as i'm often referred to with affection by my colleagues. It's probably because they're jealous that i'm way faster than them and have all the strava KOM's! In store I've just trained up to give Body Geometry Fits so I look forward to helping people get the most out of their riding.
I've got a Tarmac which I love, but I've recently built up a lovely Venge pro build with roval CLX 60's and the new Ultegra 11 speed. It's really another thing to make my colleagues jealous. You'll see me on that 99.9% of the time.
If I'm not riding, then I like hanging out with my girlfriend, walking our new Westie puppy and am also a bit of an amateur photographer. But for the most part I'll be riding my Venge.
Service Centre Technician
I'm Luke, the Birmingham Concept Store's Mountain Biking enthusiast. If you'd like to pop in and talk about Enduro's or Stumpy's then ask for me.
I'm currently hitting the trails on my Enduro S-Works. It's such a blast to throw around the local trails or any trail I can take it to for that matter. This year i'll be confronting the ultimate dilemma, Do I keep the 2014 model I love or going for the 2015 650b version? My plan is a lot of testing before I pick one!
In a word, Instagram. If i'm not riding trails near or far then you'll probably catch me taking shots on my phone and uploading them. Or at least that's what the guys say. In truth, it's riding. I've even signed up to a few Enduro races this year. When i'm not on my bike then you'll find me hanging out with my mates, my brothers and my little niece.
Service Centre Manager
I'm Ash, the manager of our Shimano Service Centre here at Specialized Birmingham
Everyone tells me i'm crazy, which might be why I love Triathlon and in particular, the Ironman series. I recently completed my second Ironman over in Nice, France. I'm lucky enough to ride for Specialized Birminghama and they've provided me with a Shiv Pro Race 2014 which is phenomenal. I also ride a Tarmac for my winter training which get's put through it's paces too.
Training, Traning and more training. Unfortunately, when i'm getting prepared for an Ironman then everything revolves around that which means a lot of early starts, riding, swimming and running which can be pretty hard in the winter. Luckily i've got a very forgiving fiance, soon to be wife and our daughter to come home to. When i'm not training then I love spending time with my family and hitting the odd mountain bike trail. Basically if i'm outdoors and moving then i'm a happy boy.
I'm Alex, i'm the head mechanic in the Shimano Service centre. I also ride Gravity Enduro on the Specialized Birmingham team.
This is my first full year being sponsored by Specialized Birmingham and they've given me an S-Works Enduro 29 Frame, Roval Traverse wheels and Pike's. Fortunately knowing my way around bikes i've been able to piece it together and it's the fastest bike i've ridden on the trails. I've been riding in the UK Gravity Enduro series this year and got a top 15 finish in my first race, looking forward to taking my Enduro down to the next races.
When i'm not riding enduro for Specialized birmingham, I love to hang out with my wife and walk the dog over the Lickey Hills. My father-in-law lives up in Wales so we go up when we can and hit the coast, although I can get into trouble for sneaking the bike in the back and hitting the trails up there for a practice.
