We would like to send out a big thank you to all of the ladies who attended the recent "Ride into Winter" event held at the Chelmsford Concept store. This evening, which took place on Thursday 17th November, was attended by more than 45 women, many of whom were visiting the store for the first time. The evening was based around a series of fun and informative workshops that were aimed at the female rider. In attendance were several members of staff from Specialized UK's Head Office as well as the store team, these staff members were all on hand to answer the many and various cycling related questions that were posed during the evening. All of the ladies who attended the event were treated to a glass of sparkling wine as well as some nibbles and "Specialized" cupcakes. During the 2 hours all of the ladies were able to visit the seminars that were going on in store, these included; How to change a tyre, bicycle maintenance and care, clothing for Winter riding and exercises for women who cycle. The most popular talk of the evening was undoubtedly the "How to change a tyre" which included a fun timed section where ladies were able to pit themselves against the clock to see how fast they could change a tyre and inner tube. All in attendance seemed to agree that the evening was not only fun but also informative. We hope to see all of our ladies back in store soon and are looking forward to the next evening which should take part sometime in the new year.
