New Specialized Spring clothing range

New Specialized Spring clothing range

New Specialized Spring clothing range

The arrival of spring is certainly reason for celebration, especially after such an unusually cold winter which has stubbornly overstayed its welcome. But before we can luxuriate in race fit short sleeves, slick with sweat and mildly sunburnt, there’s one damp and chilly period to get through first. Spring is a time of cobbles and dodgy terrain, long days in the saddle to prepare for summer and – unfortunately – those infamous spring rain showers.

Our new spring clothing range has launched just in time, so let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

SL Pro road apparel

The SL Pro range incorporates everything we’ve ever learned about performance materials and race fit. The jersey’s VaporRize knit fabric provides an optimal blend of moisture management and durability, and its welded “cuffless” sleeve design improves not just the aerodynamic profile, but overall comfort too. The whole SL Pro range plays host to unique features, like our Cold Fabric technology which ensures the surface temperature is controlled, even when dark in colour. The shorts also include a vent channel on the lower back to assist ventilation and decrease perspiration. With this kit, you’ll feel like a pro in no time, although you might want to layer up until the weather starts to warm up.

RBX road kit

The RBX range takes the performance benefits of the SL but gives it a more relaxed cut, putting comfort at the pointy end of affairs. But it’s not your average relaxed fit afterthought. The jerseys are light and durable with a new four-way stretch woven fabric that is soft against the skin for even the longest days in the saddle, and it also features our Cold Fabric technology to keep the surface temperature sensible, with added mesh panels for ventilation. As for the shorts, they have the unique feature of three SWAT-inspired rear pockets to house your absolute must-haves – like cake money.

Merino wool jerseys

Merino wool has a natural ability to combat odour and microbial build-up while managing and evaporating moisture, so it is an obvious choice for endurance sport. The thing is, merino has rarely been associated with performance. Until now. Our new drirelease® jerseys combine the natural wool with synthetic fibres to push away perspiration at a faster rate. You get a perfect blend of soft-feel wool with a race-ready, aerodynamic fit.

Enduro off-road apparel

We think you’ll agree that our designers have taken a step up in their road kit but wait until you see what they’ve done with the mountain line. Made with our high-end VaporRize fabric, the Enduro Comp jerseys and shorts are light, breathable and moisture wicking. The jerseys also feature environmentally-friendly recycled coffee and carbon yarns, making them perfect for the eco-conscious among you. Supremely comfortable and with SWAT storage for easy access to your essentials, every mountain biker needs some Specialized clothing in their collection.

Demo and Andorra trail clothing

The super-slick Demo (men’s) and Andorra (women’s) ranges are designed for fearless mountain bikers whose priorities are the excitement of the trail. With this in mind, these items are not just very cool, but comfortable and durable too. Made from ultra-breathable VaporRize fabrics constructed specifically with strength in mind, this kit is designed to survive all the thrills and spills that are inevitable on full-throttle days on the bike. With our Relaxed Mountain Bike Fit, the apparel is generous, breathable and leaves plenty of room for anybody armour or padding you might choose.

Now that winter is finally in the past – we hope! – it is the perfect time to stock up on some new season threads. Everyone knows that new apparel is worth at least a dozen extra watts and you’ll feel pro in a heartbeat. Next stop summer!
