At last THE SHIV Is Here!
It's been a long time coming but finally the 2011 S-Works Shiv has arrived.
Come and see this ground-breaking new bike at Specialized Concept Store Ruislip.
This early model has already been sold by Concept Store Ruislip to dedicated time-trialist Andy Halliday of Westerley Cycling Club. This Shiv is officially the first Specialized 2011 Shiv model to be sold in the UK. More will be available, to pre-order call us on 01895 623333.
The Shiv S-Works module is available for £3999.99 and includes: carbon aero bars; S-Works BB, cranks and rings; front/rear brakes and two carbon aero seat posts.
Andy’s bike has been assembled to the following specification:
Specialized 2011 S-Works Shiv Module;
Zipp Sub-9 rear disc wheel;
KCNC 11-23 Cassette;
Zipp 808 front wheel;
Vittoria Chrono Evo2 tubular tyres;
Sram Red rear mech;
Sram Red front mech;
Sram Red R2C TT shifters;
Sram Red 1091r chain;
Rotor Ring chain rings;
Specialized Toupé titanium-rail saddle;
Look Kéo Blade carbon pedals.
Andy is the proud new owner of this bike, but he is no stranger to Specialized. Indeed, he actually owns an ever-growing fleet of Specialized bikes, including: two Transitions, a Roubaix Pro, a Tricross Comp and a Stumpjumper FSR Carbon! We caught up with ‘The Red Mallet’ as he is known, in between his training riding and racing and asked "Why Specialized?"
"That's easy! The shop team are all dedicated cyclists! As well as swiftly providing me with bike models that exactly suit my needs, they have consistently highlighted areas where my performance and comfort can be improved. Just one example is the Body Geometry Fit consultation which tailored the geometrical layout of each of my bikes to my personal flexibility and has taken my performance to a new level. This was the cherry on the cake and has been worth every penny! Time and again the attention to detail has been exceptional!”
The Body Geometry focus is behind many of the Specialized products and services. Andy told us that
