Hi I'm David the store manager at Nottingham. I have been in the industry for about 5 years now and have been a keen cyclist for as long as I can remember. Through my many years of experience I have gained many skills including cyctech level 3
I started cycling on an old 24" jump bike in the early 00's and you could find me most weekends street riding around Nottingham with friends. After many years of this and varies scares, I now enjoy nothing more than blasting down the local trails on my hardtail. I also enjoy commuting to work on my road bike especially in the snow as this tests your skills and I'm a massive kid at heart. My dream rides would be a custom s-works tarmac build for summer and a camber expert evo for the weekends.
When I'm not riding, I can be found at home enjoying family life where I'm usually being used as a human climbing frame for one of my many nephews and nieces. I also enjoy going to the gym (not as often as I would like), watching ice hockey and playing on playstation - much to the annoyance of my wife. I am also enjoying my newly found freedom of driving after passing my test recently, although it's not going to stop me riding.
Hey, I’m Scott and I’m the assistant manager at Specialized Concept Store at Nottingham. I love going fast on most things on two wheels and have been riding since an early age. I used to do cross country racing, but now just ride for fun – but still love a bit of competition when out on rides. I've slowly succumb to road riding and now love getting out in my baggies and exploring the country roads near me.
I currently have a Specialized Allez for road riding which is awesome, but I think it’ll soon be swapped for a 2014 Tarmac, this years model looks amazing. My 29er Stumpjumper FSR is also on order, I can’t wait to get to Cannock on it. I also love retro rides and still own a classic hardtail from 1998.
My other main (and equally expensive) interest is motorsport and try to get as many track days in as possible, living close to Donington Park has it’s advantages! I also love cooking food and eating food, one of the perks of being a cyclist is getting to eat loads guilt free.
Senior Sales Advisor & Body Geometry Technician
I'm Rob, senior sales at the new Nottingham store. I've also just become fully trained Body Geometry Fit technician so i'm excited about helping our customers get as much fun out of their riding as i do.
I've been riding since the mid-nineties and I'm still throwing myself about on a Mounatin bikes these days staying true to my dirt jump and downhill roots it would be fair to say my head's been turned by the new 2014 Cambers, so i'll be getting one of them pretty soon. I've just got into road riding a little too just because you can very, very fast and the new S-Works Tarmac in black and yellow is top of my wish list now
I'm an outdoors kind of guy. So if i'm not at work, whether i'm riding, walking, camping, canoeing or just making the most of the fresh air it's rare you'll catch me indoors. I also love to go swimming and am thinking of entering some triathlons, just need to get myself injury free and buy myself that nice S-Works Tarmac!
Service Centre manager
Hello, i'm Pete, Service centre manager at Nottingham. I have a passion for riding bikes that has always been there. My BMX crashes started me repairing bikes and I followed that through to become a technician in the bike trade, getting my Cytech qualifications and fixing other peoples bikes for a living which I still enjoy, so if your bikes need some TLC we'd be happy to help.
Despite several crashes, bumps and bruises, I still ride my BMX at local skateparks around the Nottingham area whenever I can and still love it. I also do a fair bit of road riding for the speed and freedom. I've got my eye on a Specialized venge as it's got to be one of the best looking bikes out there. My last road bike was fitted with Di2 and i'll definitely be adding that to my Venge as it ran perfectly without any adjustments needed. Now I just need to pick which Venge i'm having!
When i'm not fixing, riding or just living and breathing bikes I like to spend time with my family and friends. I'm also really into technology (bit of an Apple fanboy - don't hold it against me!) and recently started getting into cars and motorsport which is another expensive but brilliant hobby.
