Women's Stumpjumper ST Alloy 27.5

Alloy fans don't fret, the new Women's Stumpjumper ST 27.5 also comes in a new, radically designed alloy variant. An asymmetrical design and new tube shapes lend themselves to the characteristic snappy handling of the 27.5 platform and make this a bike that has to be ridden to be believed.

A telepathic connection between rider and bike was one of the goals we strived for with the new Stumpjumper a connection that ultimately boils down to stiffness. In a bid to improve the connections between a rider's feet, hands and brain we got to work improving the materials, shapes and layout of the Stumpy.

An Rx Tune on both the rear shock and fork allow for custom tuning of the bike to any desired style. As suspension performance is reliant on the size of wheel, frame and rider, the Women's RX Tune ensures each bike will land in the middle of the adjustment spectrum, and also accommodates the typically lighter female physique. Full customisation is the order of the day and this nifty little system enables every rider to fine-tune each individual outing on the trail. RX Tunes are developed specifically for each wheel platform, so no one loses out on perfectly linear suspension.

Threaded bottom brackets and space to accommodate a 3.0 tyre make this an incredibly easy bike to live with. As the new Stumpy uses standard metric shocks, you're also free to run whatever aftermarket rear shock you want. Customisation is further improved by the addition of a Flip Chip, a single flick from High to Low dropping the bottom bracket by 6mm and slackening the head tube by half-a-degree. A ribbed chain stay protector also joins the party, minimising that irritating chain slap.

Shimano SLX front and rear derailleurs, a RockShox Recon RL fork with 130mm of travel, Tektro Gemini disc brakes, a custom X-Fusion 02 Pro RL rear shock with 130mm of travel and wide alloy wheels complete this mega bike build. A hybrid of dependable, high-performing parts and a modest price make this a truly unrivalled piece of trail equipment.
