It's not all about carbon fibre these days, if you've not ridden an aluminium bike recently, well, your missing out. The Chisel Expert has our latest D'Aluisio Smartweld frame and comes with components that will make you think twice about your next purchase.
With D'Aluisio Smartweld (DSW), we've moved the stress points away from weaker areas of the frame and removed the need for a skilled welder, in doing this the frame is lighter, stiffer and responsive, just as an XC bike should be.
So now you can get out and tear up hill's, down descents and all the trails in-between while you think about what else is there, other than aluminium.
Not only does the Chisel have an XC pedigree, now it comes with a pinch of trail too. This means we've made the top tube longer and given it a more relaxed head angle meaning its as fast down hill as it is efficient climbing up them.
We've kitted the Chisel Expert with the superb SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, along with the more than impressive SRAM Level TL hydraulic disc brakes. To keep you rolling fast and light the 25mm wide, disc specific aluminium rims fit the bill perfectly.

Brilliant bike
I have had my Chisel for 6 weeks now and 300 miles. All I can say is wow!
The bike is light fast and smooth. I seem to be breaking my PBs on every ride at the moment. I am surprised by this as the front chain ring is quite small compared to my last bike but I think it actually allows me to pedal faster and this combined with the overall lightness makes it fast and I am climbing hills that I used to struggle on with ease.
I really cannot rate this bike highly enough
Fantastic bike. I have done just over 200miles in 3 weeks.
The bike is comfortable and once you get the forks set to your liking it smooth out the bumps on the trail. The tyres are grippy in all the conditions I have rode in and the bike flies. Every time I go out I seem to be breaking my PBs on my regular trails. This has surprised me as my previous bike had a larger chain ring. I think the speed comes from the fact that I can pedal the smaller ring on the Chisel faster and the smothness gets me over the rough quicker. Then because the bike is so light I am climbing faster as well. In short I really can't fault this bike.

Done over 2000 miles with it. Excellent bike. Brakes have required a bit more maintenance than usual, however they offered a great performance in return. With more aggressive tires and dropper post it's a great all-mountain bike.
