New Year, New Bike

New year, new you, new bike? Everyone knows new kit is one of the biggest motivators for a cyclist. Smart new kit equals more pro, which equals faster and more efficient riding. Whether you’re a mountain biker, road racer, sportive hunter or bike packer, we’ve got something to enable you to make this year great. Check out our list of bikes that will take your riding to the next level in 2017.

Cross Country Crusader

Epic Hardtail Expert Carbon World Cup

This is a cross country mountain bike designed for racing at the highest level. With its boundary-pushing design and unprecedented light weight, it is cut from the same cloth as its S-Works big brother – the lightest, most stiff and best-handling frame we’ve ever made. It’s abilities to fly up climbs and descend like no other have been noted by riders and press alike, helped by the hand-built Roval Control wheels, the crisp shifting SRAM X1 rear derailleur and the custom Rockshox SID 29 Brain fork. The Specialized patented ‘Brain’ technology will future proof your ride, helping to regulate oil flow in the compressor by judging the demands of the terrain beneath the tyres. Smart, no?

Criterium Champion

Allez DSW SL Sprint Expert

Traditional lore has always told us that carbon frames are the way forward in ‘serious’ cycling, but that is no longer the case. Our overhauled design for the Allez features an aero seat post, S-Works FACT carbon fork and a collection of components that were carefully selected to provide outstanding stiffness, responsiveness and efficiency. The wheels are Axis Elite and the gearing is provided by a happy mix of Praxis Zayante crankset, Shimano Ultegra levers and rear derailleur, and 105 cassette, brakes and front derailleur. Designed with criterium racing in mind, this bike is a confident and precise machine with a need for speed.

Weekend Warrior

Tarmac Expert Disc

If long sportive events and the odd circuit race are your bag, then the Specialized Tarmac is a good option, especially if you’re someone who is always looking to improve on your personal best. The Tarmac Expert Disc is a great value option that offers lightweight performance and energetic responsiveness with its Rider-First Engineered full FACT 10r carbon frame. Shimano BR-785 hydraulic discs provide all the stopping power you could possibly need in the often unpredictable group riding environment, and the Shimano Ultegra groupset with FSA SL-K crankset offer precise and confident shifting. It cuts through the air on a DT R470 Disc Pro wheel set and the bike is wrapped in Specialized finishing kit.

Confident Commuter

Sirrus Expert Carbon

This bike sets out to prove doubters wrong; a fitness bike can combine efficiency with performance so you’ll reach your destination at considerable speed. The frame is made from high-quality FACT 9r carbon and is engineered with our scientifically-tested Body Geometry process. This model features 11-speed shifting thanks to a mix of MicroSHIFT flatbar levers and Shimano 105 components. For superior stopping power, the Sirrus Expert is equipped with Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes. You’ll see a lot of these bikes traversing central London from west to east as commuters with great taste ride from the suburbs into work.

Adventure Calls

Sequoia Expert

If you’re seeing 2017 as the year of adventure, look no further than the Sequoia, our recently relaunched genre-defying bike which offers unparalleled versatility. This top of the range model is designed for one-by shifting for maximum ease and minimal maintenance and would be well-suited to gravel riding, off-road trekking and bike touring. The frame, designed using dedicated Adventure Geometry, is built from our Premium Cr-Mo tubing and is complemented by a FACT carbon fibre fork, complete with mounts for bottle cages or storage. Hand-built Adventure Gear Cruzero wheels complete the Sequoia Expert which is ready to go wherever you wish to take it.
