Amira women's road bike

The Amira has proven itself on the biggest stage and the engineering that went to those race winning machines is the very same throughout the Amira range. If you're looking for the fastest women's road bike, look no further than the Specialized Amira.

Once upon a time, there was an unfortunate trend for manufacturers to “shrink it and pink it” when put to the task of creating womenâ's products. We canâ't speak for everyone, but at Specialized every effort is made to produce womenâ's bikes designed specifically for women – with specific components and geometry, without compromise on specification or attention to detail. The Specialized Amira is undeniably a world leader. The outgoing 2017 season has been particularly healthy for the full Specialized range, and not least for the Amira, the bike of choice for the dominant Boels Dolmans racing team.

In 2017 Lizzie Deignan (née Armitstead) rode the Specialized Amira to a sprint victory at the Common Wealth Championships, shocking the peloton, the fans and herself. Then her teammate, young Danish rider Amalie Dideriksen doubled up for the team at this yearâ's Worlds in Qatar. So for the second year running, the Specialized Amira will carry the rainbow stripes into a new road racing season, and will also be ridden by Olympic champion Anna van der Breggen, a new signing for the Dutch team.

The Amira is all about giving the rider the edge over competitors. This ladies bikeâ's ‘edgeâ' is twofold: performance from the FACT carbon frame and tapered head tube which together provide responsive handling and exciting acceleration, and the psychological advantages gained from the combination of lightweight, high-performance and peloton-leading features.

Just as with every other Specialized model, the Amira comes in several build options to suit different needs, aspirations and budgets.
