Our riders are incredibly fast – perhaps not as fast as the speed of light, but pretty close.
In celebration of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, we have released a limited edition collection which will be available in Specialized Concept Stores and online. The Specialized Speed of Light collection takes some of our finest products and reimagines them as the intertwining of darkness, light, and speed.
We’ve used striking colourways to blend our cycling equipment and bikes, promoted as one motion, a combined operation of fluidity and speed.

Whether you’re a roadie or cross-country shredder, two of our top-tier bikes have been given the Speed of Light makeover: the S-Works Epic cross-country race machine and the S-Works Tarmac SL7 road racer. Both bikes are defined by their winning pedigree and they are now available in the limited edition Speed of Light colourway. A gorgeous deep red and purple hue will have you standing out from the crowd whether you're at a local crit or racing a national championship.
The Tarmac SL7 is one of the lightest UCI legal road bikes in production. The ideal all-rounder, it's as capable in a flat and fast criterium as it is a hilly Grand Tour stage.
The Epic, meanwhile, is proven in elite competition, having reached more than 100 World Cup podiums.

We’ve chosen to style the S-Works Recon mountain bike shoes as our flagship XC race shoe. They’re incredibly lightweight, and minimise power transfer losses with a stiff sole while maintaining breathability and comfort with our space-grade Dyneema™ material.
The S-Works 7 road shoes have also been given a makeover, with a black to red fade across the shoe, perfectly blending in with the rest of our Speed of Light collection. Whether you’re racing across the Fuji Speedway or on the club run, keeping your feet comfortable is key to improving performance. The S-Works 7 shoes use bonded seams to allow the shoe to mould to your feet, while four-way stretch mesh encourages breathability in even the most humid conditions.
The S-Works Evade helmet is also included in this limited edition collection, with similar detailing to the shoes. The Evade is a rare beast – it’s well ventilated without compromising on aerodynamics. Using cutting edge technologies such as MIPS SL, we’ve managed to create a helmet that is as beneficial at cutting through the wind as it is comfortable. If you’re keen on riding as fast as possible, the Evade can save you 50 seconds over 40km compared to a standard road helmet. A sophisticated yet aerodynamically favourable helmet, it’s no wonder we’ve included it in our Speed of Light collection.

The t-shirts in the capsule have subtle Specialized logos with the Speed of Light collection name printed on the front, while the longer sleeve options feature an Olympic-inspired graphic on the rear of the shirt and the collection name on the sleeves.
