Ain't no mountain high enough for the Enduro

The term ‘all mountain’ isn’t used loosely, it takes one special bike to take on climbs and descents with equal aplomb. That’s where the Enduro comes in, a bike that can ride the entire mountain while striking the perfect balance between performance and efficiency. We’re talking tons of travel, a super-lightweight chassis and geometry for just about any terrain – that’s the Enduro way.

The cream of the crop

If you’re looking for a bike that really does have it all, you can’t go wrong with an S-Works, our most premium models boast the best specs and builds that money can buy. No compromises have been made on the new S-Works Enduro, from its incredibly lightweight FACT IS-X 11m carbon fibre chassis to its super simple internal cable routing, we’ve honed in on every single aspect of the bike in an attempt to create the ultimate ‘all mountain’ machine.

Lying at the centre of our new S-Works Enduro is the featherweight frame, constructed from our top shelf FACT IS-X 11m carbon fibre. Not only is the carbon fibre super lightweight, it’s also incredibly efficient when out on the trail – perfectly compliant in all the right places. Whether you’re hitting the downhills with untamed aggression, or smoothly tapping out a rhythm up the mountain, the frame will support any off-road endeavour.

We’ve also thrown in some internal cable routing channels and brought back the firm fan-favourite – the threaded bottom bracket. We all love a bike that’s easy to live with and these two features make the S-Works Enduro a dream to service and maintain. A SWATTM box on the down tube adds to this easy-riding feel of the Enduro, giving you the room to store all manner of essentials and trail accessories on your off-road adventure.

Equipped with the top of the range, SRAM Eagle XX1 Eagle 12-speed groupset, Guide RSC Carbon hydraulic disc brakes with heaps of stopping power, a handy Command Post WU dropper and a pair of hand-crafted Roval Traverse Carbon wheels, the S-Works Enduro is one formidable machine.

Whether you’re a fan of speedier 29er wheels or nimbler and more aggressive 27.5s, the S-Works Enduro satisfies both camps. Our 29er has been totally re-designed by slacking out the front end, lengthening the top tube, shortening the chainstays and lowering the bottom bracket. Not only does the bike zip at some incredible speeds, it also inspires unparalleled confidence with its super planted feel. The 27.5 model has also had a similar makeover, maintaining this planted feel across the Enduro range.

Both the 29 and 27.5 also come fitted with a handy flip chip, a simple switch that can adjust and tweak the geometry between two settings – high and low. Not only will a flick increase the level of handling, it will also ensure you get the most out of the slick front and rear suspension, 170mm for the 27.5 and 160mm for the 29.

Pro by both name and nature

Flying in just behind the S-Works is our Enduro Pro. With all the same performance-boosting geometries and inspiring designs of the S-Works, but with a few savings in the spec department, the Pro is the perfect choice for those seeking speedy performance on a tighter budget.

Swapping the S-Works’ top of the range carbon fibre for the slightly cheaper FACT 9m, the Pro is one trail-blazing force to be reckoned with. Add to this its M5 aluminium back end and you’re left with an incredibly durable bike that can bounce back from just about any off-road tumble. Feel free to rag this machine to the extremes – it can take just about anything.

The build is graced with SRAM’s super-wide X01 12-speed groupset, reliable SRAM Code R brakes, lightweight Roval carbon wheels, a Command Post IRcc dropper post, an Ohlins TTX Coil shock on the rear and an Ohlins RXF 36 fork up front. Like the S-Works, the Pro is also available in a 29 and 27.5 model.

The mid-level Elite

It may look up to its bigger brothers in both the Pro and S-Works, but the Elite is still a bike that could shred its way right to the tops of other brands’ ‘all-mountain’ lines.

In all departments, other than the suspension and gearing, the Elite is a carbon copy of the Pro – boasting the same FACT 9m carbon fibre chassis and incredibly durable M5 alloy rear-end. Instead of Ohlins components, the Elite opts for strong, reliable FOX components, a FOX Performance Elite DPX2 shock on the rear and a FOX Rhythm 36 fork up top. For the groupset, the Elite relies on SRAM’s GX Eagle 12-speed, a system that will ensure you never run out of gears.

Just like the Pro and the S-Works, the Elite is available in a speedy 29er and super-nimble 27.5 model.

Start your journey with the Comp

All off-road journeys start somewhere, but few entry-level models will give you as much of a trail-blazing head start as the Enduro Comp. Doing away with the super-lightweight carbon, the Comp opts for a stronger, more durable M5 alloy construction. It may not have the same featherweight feel on the climbs, but when you’re shredding the descents with this beast, you’ll have that added confidence that it can bounce back from just about any knock or bump.

With ready-to-shred components straight from the box, like SRAM’s NX Eagle 12-speed groupset, powerful Guide RE brakes, durable aluminium wheels and a bouncy RockShox Yari fork, the Comp is ready to roll with the big kids and hit just about any trail you can throw at it. For those alloy lovers on a budget, with an insatiable appetite for ragging the bike both uphill and downhill, the Comp is the perfect choice.

Continuing in the same vein as the S-Works, Pro and Elite Enduro models, the Comp also comes in a 29 and 27.5 model.
