The Turbo Levo SL is a total gamechanger when it comes to e-mountain bikes, packing the power to eat up more trails than ever before thanks to the SL 1.1 motor. With less than three hours of battery charging, you’ll be free to spend all day in the saddle doing what you do best. In today’s blog we’ll take a look at all the models in the new range which should help you to answer the question: “Which Turbo MTB rider am I?”

S-Works Turbo Levo SL

Coming in as the top of the range model is the S-Works Turbo Levo SL. At 17.3 kilograms, this carbon beast will make you forget that you’re packing an extra battery on board. Fans of the Stumpjumper will notice that this is essentially that very bike, only with a bit of built-in horsepower so you can stay out on the trails for longer. Thanks to the lightweight SL 1.1 motor, your pedalling power is doubled which results in quicker climbs and more hang time. This top shelf model doesn’t pull any punches and is kitted out with 150 millimetres worth of FOX Factory suspension and top-quality SRAM Eagle XX1 drivetrain. If you’re the sort of rider who wants to spend all day out on the trails pushing a bike to its limits, this is the one for you.

Turbo Levo SL Expert Carbon

From S-Works to Expert there isn’t a huge gulf, but the cheaper of two does come with slightly different components. As the name indicates, this model is built around a full carbon frame which is paired with 150 millimetres of trail busting suspension thanks to FOX’s 34 Performance fork and DPS shock. The SRAM Eagle GX drivetrain gives you enough gears to get the best out of the power assistance meaning a day in the saddle is a doddle. There are also a few more colour options compared to the S-Works, so if matching is your thing, the Expert has you covered.

Turbo Levo SL Comp Carbon

Still equipped with a carbon frame, the SL Comp Carbon retains the agility of the fan-favourite Stumpjumper. FOX’s RHYTHM 34 fork and DPS shock allow for 150 millimetres of suspension and a SRAM Eagle NX drivetrain links perfectly with the extra power. Like all the bikes in the new Levo SL range – and in fact all Specialized e-bikes – you can fine-tune the motor to your riding style via the Mission Control App.

Turbo Levo SL Comp

The cheapest of the range, thanks to its aluminium rather than carbon frame, is the SL Comp. It may look different to the carbon models, but the SL Comp brings all the fun of the range down to an agreeable price point. Fans of vibrant block colours are also in luck – the red or turquoise livery will get heads turning almost as quickly as you’ll be flying down the trails.

An added bonus of these e-bikes is that you can kit them out with the range extender if you just need/want that little bit more time in the saddle. It will give you 1.5 hours more trail fun, ideal if you’re on a long adventure. Even better, the bike is so light that even if you do end up running out of juice and need to disconnect the motor, the bike’s weight doesn’t become a burden and it will handle just like a traditional Stumpjumper. On a budget but want to feel the benefits of the SL 1.1 motor? The Comp is for you.
