Men's S-Works Diverge

The fun starts when you take the turn onto the path less travelled, but you've still got to get to that fork in the road with uncompromised efficiency. The S-Works Diverge is neither a more road-capable cyclocross bike, nor an adventure-ready' road bike, but something in between, redefining the possibilities for a performance adventure bike.

We have completely redesigned the S-Works Diverge frame to better meet the needs of the rider. Our designers took customer feedback on tyre clearance into account and created a frame which now accommodates tyres of up to 42mm in width, still leaving ample room for mud picked up from the trail. We also developed a 900 gram FACT 11r carbon frame, taking cues from the Roubaix, making it one of the lightest bikes in its category. In the past, the Diverge range has made use of a traditional cross geometry, but we've moved away from that with the new Diverge, opting for our never-before-seen Open Road Geometry. Essentially, it is like a modern trail bike geometry adapted for use on a road bike setup. This means dropping the bottom bracket, slackening the head tube angle and shortening the chainstays and wheelbase. The sum of all these changes is a bike which performs on rougher surfaces just as well as it does on pristine tarmac roads.

One of the key features of the S-Works Diverge is its revamped Future Shock technology, developed specifically for use in the Diverge family. Stemming from our proprietary suspension technology made famous by the Specialized Roubaix, this new version of the Future Shock soaks up lumps and bumps on the trail without affecting the predictable, steady handling. It includes a progressive spring for stiffer suspension, which makes it more capable of soaking up the larger obstacles you might find in your path. Gone are the days of suspension being associated with sloppy handling and under steer, the Diverge keeps its dexterity while sustaining comfort on all terrains.

The frame is equipped with mounts for three water bottles, racks and fenders, and even features our Road SWAT kit at the base of the down tube. In it you can fit all the necessary equipment for fixing punctures on your adventures with a little extra space for coffee cash as well. As for components, the S-Works Diverge has been equipped with versatile equipment to suit all riders from commuters to bikepackers. A Shimano XTR Di2 Derailleur is joined by R785 Di2 shifters and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. Add to that an Easton EC90 SL Carbon crankset, Roval CLX 32 wheels and our carbon Command Post XCP, and you've got a bike which is not only unique in setup, but in ride experience too.
