Men's Stumpjumper Comp Alloy 27.5

The Stumpjumper Comp Alloy 27.5 gets new tube shapes and an innovative asymmetrical design for 2018, plus the agile handling of 27.5 wheels we've all grown to love. With all these new features, we believe this machine may just fit the bill of ultimate trail bike'.

A key objective during the design process of the new Stumpjumper was to build a simple, yet effective, trail bike; one that instils an almost physical bond between rider and machine. This all comes down to stiffness, and the ability for the bike to communicate all the signals from feet and hands to brain, without any unstable miscommunications. To achieve super stiffness, we started by looking at the materials and shapes of the Stumpy.

Keeping suspension at the head of affairs as well as stiffness we developed the Rx Trail Tune for both the forks and rear shock. This allows for a wide range of suspension performances, allowing each owner to fine-tune their rides for the terrain. As performance largely depends on wheel size, we created specific Rx Tunes for each platform ensuring that, no matter what wheel size you choose, perfectly linear suspension will be a provided every time.

The Stumpy is awash with further features that make it an all-round, pleasure-to-ride. Clearance to fit 3.0 tyres, a threaded bottom bracket and a customisation-enhancing Flip Chip are just some of the things that make the Stumpjumper a delight to own and ride. The Flip Chip in particular is a real asset to this build, allowing you to switch your bottom bracket from high to low, as well as slacken the head tube angle by a half-degree so that you can match your bike's geometry to the trail terrain.
