Men's Stumpjumper Comp Alloy 29
£2650.00
Not a member of the current carbon wave Don't worry, the Stumpjumper Comp Alloy 29 fills the void and may just crown itself king among modern-day alloy bikes the asymmetric design and modern tube shapes no doubt re-defining what it feels like to ride a dirt-conquering trail masterpiece. The ultimate trail bike earns its name through a telepathic connection between rider and machine but without super stiffness, the connection drops, leaving both rider and bike left wondering, what the hell just happened. In other words: when you're blazing through a trail and the frame shifts your hands one way and the pedals throw your feet the other; your brain gets muddled the imbalance making the bike feel like a fluid mess. To tackle the issue of stability, and achieve super stiffness, we honed in on the materials and shapes that make up the frame's geometry. Stiffness and suspension, the two S's that need to be nailed in the manufacturing of the ultimate trail bike. A custom Rx Trail Tune sent us down the right suspension path, the ability to adjust each bike to land in the middle of the spectrum, ensuring full customisability when it comes to fine tuning your ride. As wheel size is bound to differ between riders, a specific Rx Tune was created for each platform meaning no one loses out in the quest for suspension perfection! No one likes a picky machine and so we designed the Stumpy to suit a wide range of demands and aftermarket customisations. Back by popular demand are the threaded bottom brackets trail bikers know and love, gaping clearance to fit a 3.0 tyre, and the ultimate freedom to use any rear shock upgrade a rider desires. A new Flip Chip feature serves to slacken the head tube and drop the bottom bracket in a heartbeat, allowing for customisation on the fly. Perfectionists among you will also be delighted to see the inclusion of a ribbed chain stay protector, the simple device muting the drivetrain, all but silencing the slap and whir of a speeding chain as you rip over rough terrain. A reliable machine is invariably the most loved; the Stumpy making no compromises in both its highly-dependable and top-notch performance parts. it features a Shimano SLX drivetrain with RaceFace cranks, FOX front and rear suspension, Shimano SLX disc brakes and Roval Traverse 29 alloy wheels.
- The completely redesigned alloy Stumpjumper frame features an M5 alloy front- and rear-end, an asymmetrical design, and our 29 Trail Geometry, so it's just the right amount of both capable and comfortable.
- The FOX DPS Performance rear shock features our Rx Trail Tune, ensuring that no matter the wheel or frame size, your bike is dialed-in perfectly.
- A FOX 34 Rhythm fork handles suspension duties up front, with stiff stanchions and plenty of adjustability.
