This connection is something we set out to achieve with the new Stumpjumper, in the hope that it would live up to the acclaimed title of ultimate trail bike'. We found that the key to rider-bike telepathy is stiffness, so we focused in on the shapes and materials of the frame that would allow us to get to work on achieving such stiffness.

Though suspension and stiffness are sometimes thought of as counteracting forces, a balance between the two features is vital in the pursuit of ultimate' trail bike credibility. A custom Rx Trail Tune on both the fork and rear shock lets the rider fine-tune their ride, with a specific Rx Tune for each wheel size platform to accommodate even the pickiest of riders. Whatever wheel size you choose, the Rx Tune will ensure you'll get perfectly linear suspension every time.

Major efforts have been made to make this bike not just great fun, but also a constant and flexible companion. We've brought back the threaded bottom bracket and made room for a 3.0 tyre, ensuring that you get the most versatility out of your new trail bike. The components of the Stumpy are also easily upgradable, none more so than standard metric shocks that allow complete freedom when considering future rear shock upgrades.
