Women's Tarmac Disc Sport

The Women's Tarmac Disc Sport takes all the same design cues as the more expensive models, and combines them with no-nonsense, durable components to create a speedy machine that will have you itching to take to the open road the perfect gateway to the Tarmac range.

Rider-First Engineered technology is built into the frame by altering the layup schedules and materials, creating a bike that is both stiff and compliant in all the right places. As well as ensuring the same, perfect ride feel across the wide range of sizes, Rider-First also shaves grams from the overall build perfect for those chasing the local QOMs.

The same Performance Road Geometry, inspired by pro rider input and countless Retl tests, that features on our more expensive models, has also been translated to the Sport delivering the same instantaneous response and efficient power transfer as its race-winning, Grand Tour-racing S-Works cousin.

Stiffness is essential for creating this instantaneous feel, in both acceleration and handling response but, then again, so is compliance. To add more compliance to the Tarmac, we dropped the seat stays and altered the seat tube shape giving the bike a little more flex in its back end to compliment its super-stiff front end. We've also added some extra large tyre clearance, space to fit up to a 30mm, for those riders looking for a more comfortable ride over slightly more unforgiving terrain. The ability to run lower pressures in larger tyres means riders will be treated to increased traction and most of all comfort, especially on longer days in the saddle.

Despite being our entry-level Tarmac model, we did not forgo the pro-rider-inspired aero advancements, our Boels-Dolmans riders demanding the latest and greatest aero advantages. By using the same, new fork shape and dropped seat stays with aero tubes, as the other more expensive Tarmac models we created a bike that is equally as aero, but without the weighty price tag.

Complete with Shimano 105 mechanical shifting and reliable hydraulic disc brakes that boast superior stopping power, even in the wettest of conditions, this is the perfect bike for instilling confidence as you throw it down every descent and storm through every corner. In the wheel department, the Tarmac Disc Sport is treated to a pair of super-durable DT R470 Disc wheels, and to add even more comfort, and women's specific pieces, an Oura Pro saddle is included.
