Ruby Comp

You'd think being fast meant a harsh uncomfortable day in the saddle, well not anymore. The Future shock equipped Ruby Comp is all about comfort and speed to enable you to perform at your best for the whole ride.

The wonderfully light frame is made by using our very own FACT 10r carbon fibre, which offers amazing stiffness levels into the bargain. Built around a fresh new geometry it's faster and more efficient than the previous SL4. That's not to say the SL4 model that came before is now surplus to requirements, oh no. Our frame designers have made sure to preserve all the characteristics that made the Ruby Comp's predecessor such a firm favourite.

With all these improvements in geometry and efficiency, we've included a little something we call Future Shock. It's essentially a piston inside the head tube that gives the front end 20mm of travel. We developed it in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies.

Having the Future Shock means significant performance improvements thanks to the added vertical compliance. By zoning in on that vertical compliance ahead of fork splay we realised we could give you a smoother ride that's both faster and more comfortable. By placing the suspension above the fork, we ensure that the bike handles just the same, regardless of whether you're cruising over smooth tarmac, or hitting sketchy turns on gravelly back roads.

To finish up this great build we've made sure to include some top performing components, including a women's specific saddle, and Shimanos brilliant Ultegra 11 speed gearing with Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes, all rolling smoothly on DT R470 wheels.
