Ruby Expert

Performance doesn't need to be punishing and uncomfortable for the day, It does, however, make sense to be comfortable the whole ride so you can push harder and ride further for longer. As proof of this, we give you the Ruby Expert fitted with Shimano Ultegra Di2.

Compared with the Ruby SL4, you'll find geometry that's faster, more comfortable and more efficient. These gains are built into a frame that's one of the lightest we've ever put together, thanks largely to our brilliant FACT 10r carbon fibre. From this, the frame's stiffness is off the charts, but fear not, we haven't thrown the baby out with the bathwater thanks to a little magic from our engineers we can give you the same fit, position and feel that everybody loved about the SL4's Women's Endurance Geometry.

One of our other little bits of magic is, of course, that suspension thing up at the front, something we like to call the Future Shock. Developed with McLaren Applied Technologies, this piston inside the head tube gives 20mm of travel, which in turn gives the ride a whole bunch of performance gains making every ride on the Ruby both smoother and faster.

Simply put, we discovered that focusing purely on vertical compliance instead of fork flex, we could make the ride smoother and more speedy, as well as more comfortable, with just this one change. And of all the bikes we've put through testing with our Rolling Efficiency Model, this new Ruby is in a class of its own.

To finish up the build we've put in some great components like the Ultegra Di2 shifting, a pair of 8070 disc brakes and it all rolls on a set of sublime C38 carbon disc wheels by Roval.
