GENIE grants every rider three wishes: the traction and feel of a coil spring, better bottom-out prevention than a standard air spring, and the ability to independently tune both mid-stroke and end-stroke support for a ride that’s customisable and playful.

GENIE—ILLUMINATED

GENIE uses the linear spring rate of a coil shock through the “bump zone,” and a progressive spring rate of an air shock at the end of the stroke to prevent bottom-outs. This hybrid design offers the plushness of a coil with the tunability of air—providing the best of both worlds and giving you a ride that feels smooth, controlled, and customisable.

WHAT BUMP?

With 16.3% better bump force management than traditional air-sprung shocks, GENIE makes the Stumpjumper 15 feel like a bike with significantly more travel. For instance, the 145mm rear travel on the Stumpjumper 15 and the 170mm on the Enduro both use 101mm of travel to absorb the same 1080 N bump force—meaning you get a smoother, more controlled ride with less effort.

TRACTION GALORE

Through extensive field testing, we've proven that the Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE provides 57% better traction than a standard air-sprung shock. GENIE’s supple, coil-like performance keeps the wheel in contact with the ground for a greater percentage of the time than a traditional air spring, giving you more grip and control, even on the roughest trails.
