Like all our shoes, the S-Works Torch Lace starts with Body Geometry—identifying issues, solving them through design, and validating with science—to enhance comfort, performance, and reduce injury risk for every rider.

Comfort:

The S-Works Torch Lace features a new forefoot shape that’s 4mm wider than the S-Works 7, based on extensive 3D foot scans and Retül data. The upper is engineered with zonal layering, providing adaptability to different foot shapes without compromising fit over long rides. It stays supple yet secure, ensuring a consistent, comfortable fit. An asymmetric heel counter reduces pressure on the ankle while maintaining knee stability, validated by our Human Performance team.

Efficiency:

Every Body Geometry shoe optimises ankle, knee, and hip alignment for a smooth, efficient pedal stroke. The Torch Lace incorporates our patented Varus Wedge—a 1.5mm outward tilt on the outsole—improving stability. We’ve also focused on minimising weight. With its carbon outsole and ultra-light construction, the Torch Lace weighs just 200 grams (size 42). The internal I-Beam design delivers the perfect stiffness-to-weight ratio for power transfer without adding unnecessary weight, optimised through collaboration with the world’s top riders.
