AERODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE
By eliminating the hardware cluster where the stem and handlebar meet, we created a single airfoil design that improves aero efficiency. Optimised for clean air, this airfoil is fine-tuned to perform in both solo breakaways and high-speed sprints. A 4-watt improvement may seem small, but over a 250m sprint, it translates into a 32cm advantage—often enough to win races by a bike throw.
LIGHTWEIGHT & STIFF
The Rapide Cockpit is 50 grams lighter than the two-piece Rapide Bar and Tarmac SL7 Stem setup (100mm x 420mm). Made from high-modulus carbon fibre, it provides the stiffness needed for World Tour sprinters, with a stiffness-to-weight ratio that surpasses any previous two-piece system. It’s light, stiff, and ready to handle the hardest efforts.
FIT & COMFORT
We worked closely with our Retül fit experts and the world’s best riders to ensure that the Rapide Cockpit delivers a customisable fit for almost every rider. With 15 different stem and bar combos, all with a -6-degree stem angle, you’ll find the perfect race-day position. The top-to-drop radius has been sculpted for comfort and wrist clearance, whether you're in an aggressive sprint or tucked into an aero position. The bend and flare reflect our favourite Rapide bar design for optimal comfort and control.
IMPORTANT FIT NOTE: For proper installation, your bike must have at least 40mm of steerer tube above the last headset spacer to accommodate the Rapide Cockpit.
