Perfectly balanced for toughness, stiffness, and lightweight performance, these wheels have been meticulously engineered for modern, aggressive cross-country trails.
These wheels have been constructed with careful attention to detail, incorporating strength, inertia and weight considerations into a standout design. A meticulously-refined rim shape, along with the wider than standard 25mm internal width, offers optimized traction, stiffness, and rolling resistance. All this is achieved with no added weight, maintaining the same weight as the preceding Control SL. This makes for an excellent stride forward in XC wheel strength.
The proof of excellence is found in the details. We carried out rolling resistance tests using 2.0 Fast Trak tires, and the result is confirmation that our new, wider rim is faster and stronger at all tire pressures.
We've retained the Zero Bead Hook design for enhanced impact resistance with added benefits such as simplified tubeless tire installation, and improved tire sealing on the rim. The A lighter weight rim also brings low inertia into the offering, leading to rapid accelerations crucial for first-rate XC racing.
Our view of the wheel as a system led us to maintain our deep-seated design principles of lightness and durability, ensuring no compromises in the build. Furthermore, the 110/148 variant offers added resilience of Boost spacing, leading to a stiffer, stronger system with only minor weight addition.
