Lightweight Performance

  • 40% lighter than the full-power Vado, the Vado SL makes it incredibly easy to carry, ride, and store. Its Turbo SL technology and optimised frame design ensure a smooth, nimble ride that’s perfect for city commuting, fitness, and adventure.

Comfort & Control

  • Experience superior handling and comfort with a design focused on your riding position. The powerful hydraulic disc brakes give you confident stopping power, while the larger tires ensure excellent grip for maximum control, whether turning or stopping.

Turbo SL Technology

  • The heart of the Vado SL is its Turbo SL technology, offering a lightweight, natural-feeling ride that’s paired with advanced features like anti-theft protection, training tips, and a full-function bike computer. It’s designed to provide assistance up to 28 mph, with 180% rider amplification, and a peak motor output of 240W / 35Nm.

Long Range

  • Ride farther with the integrated Specialized 320Wh downtube battery. In eco mode, you can go up to 80 miles (130 km) on a single charge, or up to 120 miles (200 km) with the optional Range Extender. Whether for commuting or weekend rides, you’ve got the power to go the distance.

Smart, Functional Design

  • The premium E5 aluminium frame is lightweight yet sturdy, and the clean internal cable routing ensures a sleek look while reducing wear on the cables.
  • Reflective graphics enhance visibility, and integrated front and rear lighting help you stay seen in low-light conditions.

Reliable Shifting & Grip

  • Equipped with an 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain, the Vado SL shifts seamlessly for a smooth, efficient ride. The Specialized Pathfinder 38c tires provide exceptional grip and durability, making them ideal for both pavement and light gravel.

Versatile & Convenient

  • With its step-through frame, getting on and off the Vado SL is easy, even in busy urban environments. It’s also compatible with Racktime rear racks for carrying bags and gear, and the DRYTECH fenders keep you dry on rainy days.

hi ian, Can you guide me on bike size for the turbo vado sl 4.0 - i am 5'8 ( 80kg) and happy to be more upright and normal crossbar with flat bars required. what bike size in this range should i be looking at ? kindest Martyn

Hi Martyn,

I would say a medium would be the most appropriate size for you, this size normally caters for riders between 5`5" and 5`10" without any issues.

Sizing is a guide and most are based on a riders height, if possible it is always beneficial to try the bike in-store first, each rider is individual and may have different requirements due to physical limitations, injury's, body geometry shape or just prefers a bike to feel slightly smaller or larger.

We do not have a medium Vado in-store but we do have a large step-thru which you could try, this would give you an indication on how the geometry works for you.

Hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further advice.

Kind Regard

Ian

Would this bike be suitable for a man who is 6 ft 3 tall?

Hi Emma,

Yes, you would need the XL size although it would always be advisable to try the bike to ensure the geometry feels comfortable, sizing is a guide and everyone has individual body shapes.

Kind Regards

Ian
