It's a race bike that boasts sublime comfort over longer distances, making it great for sportive or fondo riding. Utilising advanced, aerospace optimisation software to revolutionise frame construction, our new FACT 12r carbon frame is the lightest, and most compliant it has ever been a 20% reduction in weight from the previous model perfect for smashing those local KOMs. Rider-First EngineeredTM technology also ensures that the S-Works Tarmac disc is just as nippy, powerful and downright elegant no matter the size you of frame you ride.

The frame's geometry has also received a makeover, countless Retl data points and input from some of the world's best has been taken, processed and applied to construction. The results is a Performance Road Geometry that harmonises the relationship between a responsive front end and a shorter wheelbase. That means instantaneous handling and optimum power transfer.

Stiffness plays a major role in this unique, S-Works ride-feel, but this doesn't mean that comfort and compliance can be forgotten about. We designed a new seat post that integrates compliance into the upper 120mm, dropped the seat stays, added extra tyre clearance (up to 30mm), and also completely altered the seat tube shape all in the name of a more comfortable, and compliant ride. The S-Works Tarmac Disc still rides like a true-race machine, but with these added comforts, it takes most of the sting out of road imperfections you and your backside no doubt thanking us on your next, long ride.

By dropping the seat stays and using aero tubes, redesigning the fork shape and adding a D-shaped seat post and seat tube, we've essentially added aero for free creating a bike that's approximately 45 seconds faster over 40km compared to other lightweight racers in the Tarmac's category.

Shimano supply safe, efficient and modulated stopping power through their disc brakes, coupled with their new, Dura-Ace 9170 Di2 groupset for lightweight, seamless shifting. Roval take the reins in the wheel department impressively aero and super-lightweight CLX 50 disc wheels, complete with 26mm Turbo Cotton tyres, finishing the build.

We've also included the lightest (440g/172.5mm) and most accurate power meter available believing that it shouldn't be just the pros that are treated to this ultimate training tool. The power meter is safely secured to our super-stiff, carbon fibre S-Works road cranks, offering efficient, dual-sided power measurement.
