Our free insurance has been designed to give you peace of mind during those first crucial days of ownership. During this time, you can take the opportunity to review your home and contents insurance to make sure your cover meets your needs. Many home policies have restrictions, limitations and very high excesses, some of which could be as much as half the value of your bike.

With our 10-day free insurance, you'll be covered for:

Here are the basic terms and conditions for activating this insurance:

  • You must be over 18 years old and a resident of the UK, Isle of Man, or the Channel Islands.
  • You must use the correct lock to secure your bike.
  • You must confirm that you have received your bike from a Specialized Concept Store and still have possession of it.

What do I do after buying a bike?

Your policy documents will arrive via email within 24 hours. No bank details are needed and No obligation to buy an annual policy but VeloLife will offer you a 10% discount. If for some reason your bike is delayed please get in touch at [email protected] and we will adjust your policy start date.

What kind of lock do I need to meet the insurance conditions?

In order to meet Velolife's requirements, your bike must be secured with a Sold Secure lock that corresponds to the value of the bike. To determine the lock's specifications, please visit www.soldsecure.com.

  • Under £500 requires a Bronze rated lock
  • Between £501 - £1,000 requires a Silver rated lock
  • Over £1,001 requires a Gold rated lock

Can I extend my Velolife cover?

Yes you can extend your cover, you will be sent a 10% discount link from VeloLife which will have a link to your specific quote.
