Getting it right will help you climb faster, descend more confidently and ride with less fatigue.

WHEN TO GET A FIT?

WHEN BUYING A NEW BIKE OR ONCE YOU HAVE SETTLED INTO YOUR NEW RIDE.

A Body Geometry Fit can help guide your purchase to select a bike that better fits you from the start, enabling you to get the most out of your new ride. We alternatively advise that after the first few weeks of riding, and once settled into the characteristics of your new bike that a BG Fit can then further enhance your enjoyment, comfort and performance due to your knowledge of how you and the bike interact with one another.

WHEN SETTING NEW GOALS

If you're looking to increase your fitness, training, speed, or have entered into a large mileage challenge. A correctly fitted bike can help reduce your chances of injury, and increase both efficiency and power as you adapt to your new regimen.

YOUR FITNESS HAS IMPROVED

Have you made significant changes to your strength or flexibility recently? As you become stronger you body dynamics can alter. A Body Geometry Fit can ensure that you continue to maximise your power, endurance and comfort in the correct manner.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST

£80 for a Basic Body Geometry Fit. This covers Saddle height fore and aft. Stem, bar and shifter/brake positioning plus pedal cleat alignment. This essentially ensures your position on the bike is both effective and comfortable for your personal goals. Estimated time 1 hour

£200 for a Body Geometry Fit. This covers all of the above but using the latest Retül system. We also will give you a pre-fit interview and assessment.

HOW DOES THE RETÜL SYSTEM WORK?

STEP 1:

Starting with a pre-fit physical assessment, your fitter will take into account your body’s limitations, previous injuries and pains, and your goals on the bike.

STEP 2:

From there, the fitter will have you get on the bike (either your existing bike or fit bike) to place LED markers on 8 anatomical points of your body which will be tracked by the Retül Vantage Motion Capture system. The Retül Vantage system is used to collect real-time, three-dimensional data from each pedal stroke creating a dynamic fit experience.

STEP 3:

The real-time data is compiled into the Retül fit software so that the fitter can look at the numbers and dial you into your perfect riding position.

STEP 4:

Once you and your fitter have dialed in your final bike position, the fitter will create a digital map of your final bike set up using the Retül Zin tool. The bike data and Zin tool measurements are generated into a complete fit report that you can reference at any time after the fit.
