The engineers at Specialized used a continuous fibre layup with their Zero Bead Hook design, resulting in a rim that is strong and resilient. With a 30-millimeter internal rim width, these wheels offer low rolling resistance and excellent traction. They are also resistant to ""burping"" during hard cornering and are easy to set up tubeless.In addition to being lightweight, stiff, and durable, ease of use was a top priority for the Traverse wheels. Specialized replaced the straight-pull spokes with 28 J-bend spokes that are all the same length, making replacements easy to find. The hub design has also been improved for greater stiffness.A wider rim improves ride performance by supporting the tire and allowing for lower pressures. This not only increases grip and confidence but also reduces the risk of damage. Combined with the fast rolling 29 platform, these wheels are incredibly stiff and quick to accelerate.The Roval Traverse 29 Carbon 148 wheels are hand-laced with DT Swiss 350 Classic hubs and 28 DT Swiss Competition Race spokes. The brass Pro Lock nipples ensure durability. The wheels also feature sealed cartridge bearings and a 36t quick engagement ratchet system for quick acceleration.Each wheelset comes with a SRAM XD driver, 11-speed freehub, and tubeless valve stem.
