With insights drawn from over 100,000 foot scans in our RETÜL fit data, we designed both a standard and wide carbon base plate to accommodate a wide range of foot shapes. An internal I-Beam adds stiffness and strength, eliminating the need for additional bracing, ensuring a precision fit that's stiff, comfortable, and fully tunable to maximise power transfer.

Our innovations, including the Varus Wedge, Longitudinal Arch, and Metatarsal Button, align your feet in their optimal pedalling position, reducing strain on your knees and hips and delivering efficient, pain-free power.

  • High-density pontoons and new shims allow you to fine-tune your pedal interface for maximum efficiency, offering a road-like pedal platform that optimises power transfer.
  • Asymmetrical heel counter supports the medial side and removes material from the lateral side for a lower, more comfortable collar.
  • The Internal I-Beam design maximises stiffness without adding weight, keeping the shoe lightweight while providing optimal power transfer.
  • Zoned reinforcement across the quarter and forefoot maximises support, while the updated BOA® closure system improves lockdown, eliminating the need for a toe strap.

For a Wider Fit:

  • The new base plate is 4mm wider than the standard version (8mm wider than the previous S-Works Recon Mountain Bike Shoes), offering a more comfortable fit for riders with broader feet.
