Women's Tarmac Disc Comp

The thing about the Women's Tarmac Disc Comp is that it's packed with surprises those little features that make a good bike great, and are particularly welcome on a bike at this price point. With plenty of punch inherited from the S-Works stable of super bikes, the Disc Comp represents a new normal in road bike design.

For 2019 we explored some brand new layup schedules and materials, in an effort to shed a few grams and further improve our now-legendary Rider-First Engineered technology. We've even tweaked the forks as part of this revamp all informed by our dizzying database of Retl data points plus pro rider advice. The result is the Performance Road Geometry, which combines a responsive front-end with a short wheelbase creating highly-responsive handling and top-flight power transfer.

A well-made frame balances stiffness with compliance, so we altered the shape of the seat tube and dropped the seat stays to add some much-needed give' in the right places. The 2019 Tarmac Disc Comp also has 30mm of tyre clearance, letting you run bigger tyres at lower pressure for overall better rolling resistance.

The addition of Discs to the Tarmac provides enhanced braking modulation and power, effectively enabling you to ride faster, brake later and be more confident at high speeds. The new fork shape we mentioned earlier came about in a quest for aero gains, as did the dropped seat stays with aero-optimised tube shapes.

This model of the Women's Tarmac Disc bears an impressive component set, with Shimano Ultegra shifting, hydro discs, tough DT R470 hoops and women's-specific componentry at every touch point. Not the least of these being the Oura Pro Saddle.
