We've ridden the new Stumpjumper 2017 and we were impressed to say the least. The Stumpjumper remains one of the best trail bikes available today. With a 150mm of travel, slacker head angles and a shorter rear-end triangle for a more rooted ride, along with some great new technology like the S.W.A.T storage space in the downtube, the Stumpjumper is still setting standards out on the trails everywhere. When you come in to collect your Stumpjumper 2017 FSR Test bike, we'll be there to make sure the bike is set-up correctly, show you the new features and answer any questions you have.
Our Test Bikes are designed to offer all levels of riders the chance to test a bike. You don't have to be a World Champion or even a regular rider to have a go. All you need is some enthusiasm, be over the age of 18 and bring some identification (your passport) and a Credit Card for the fully refundable deposit. That's right, all our test rides are Free!

If you know the history of the Stumpjumper FSR, you know that it doesn't believe in compromising. And not surprisingly, this still rings true today with the Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon 29. It features SRAM's workhorse one-by groupset and the no-holds-barred Guide R hydraulic disc brakes to round out a build that places an equal focus on durability and efficiency. At the frame, you'll find a FACT 9m carbon fibre chassis with an M5 alloy rear end that creates a lightweight, strong, and stiff construction. The carbon molding process also allowed us to revolutionize how you carry your trail essentials with the all-new SWAT™ Door found at the down tube. This compartment will fit a tube, a tool, and pump without rattling or compromising the structural integrity of the frame. And when you factor in our proprietary Rx Trail Tune at the shock, plus an aggressive, trail-eating geometry that features ridiculously short chainstays, a roomy top tube, a low bottom bracket, and a slacked out front end, you truly do get a bike that refuses to compromise.

This is why we design and build our Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon 650b to be the absolute all-rounder trail bike, deliver on all fronts day in, and day out. You'll find a workhorse SRAM one-by groupset and strong, reliable Guide R hydraulic disc brakes that together focus on durability and efficiency. As for the frame, we've used our FACT 9m carbon fibre with an M5 alloy rear end that creates a lightweight, strong and stiff bike. You'll have 150mm of travel, fully integrated cable routing and a SWAT door in the down tube to safely store your essentials. We've then added our proprietary Rx Trail Tune at the shock, combined with our trail-obliterating geometry that has ludicrously short chainstays, a roomy top tube and a low bottom bracket for a bike that never quits. Even better, we've used a RockShox Pike RC 650b fork with a 15mm Maxle Stealth thru-axle and 150mm of plush travel so you can have confidence when hitting big on uneven terrain. Of course, we wouldn't fall short on the wheels with a spec like this, with the Stumpjumper FSR Expert Carbon 650b you've got Roval Traverse 2Bliss Ready wheels that give strength and stability to suit the ultimate handling this bike provides.

Booking couldn't be simpler, all you need to do is contact us or phone us on 0115 978 3876. Once you've booked your test ride with us, we'll tune the suspension to suit your riding style, size and weight, so you get the best riding experience possible. If you have your own preferred pedals or saddles then bring them along and we'll fit them for you.
On the day
* Both the debit or credit card and the photo identification will be retained by the store whilst the test ride takes place.
Once the above is complete you are free to take your bike away to test.
